Fractional CFO Advisory

You're scaling a business you can't fully see.

Cash flow is harder to predict. Margins are harder to protect. And bigger decisions are starting to carry bigger consequences.

Breeze Advisory gives growing businesses the financial leadership to see what's coming, understand the numbers, and make better decisions before the stakes get higher.

About Breeze Advisory

The finance function that grows as fast as you do.

Most businesses don't fail from bad decisions. They fail because of good decisions made too late, or because of numbers nobody fully trusted.

Somewhere between "we'll figure it out" and "we need a CFO," most growing businesses get stuck. Too big for guesswork. Not big enough, or ready, for a full-time hire on the leadership team.

Breeze Advisory fills that gap.

Not reviewing your numbers from the outside once a month, but inside your business, in the room when the decision gets made, connecting what the numbers say to what you do next.

We work with ambitious, growing businesses across Australia and New Zealand,  including professional services, creative and digital, franchising, and multi-site operators, at the exact stage where the stakes of getting it wrong start to matter.

How We Help

Breeze Advisory services are designed to support businesses through growth, complexity, and change.

Rather than offering fixed packages or one-size-fits-all solutions, our services are designed to flex as your business evolves.

This model works particularly well for growing SMEs, typically between $2M and $20M in annual revenue,  or on track to reach that scale.

You can access the right level of financial leadership at the right time, without committing to support that no longer fits or outgrowing the model too quickly.

Our services work together as an ecosystem, supporting both strong financial foundations and confident leadership decision-making.

Founders launching, restructuring, or resetting financial foundations.

This may include:

  • Xero and financial system setup

  • Banking, payments, and cash structures
  • Budgets, cash flow forecasts, and pricing support
  • Founder operating rhythms and practical training

Outcome

Clear, scalable financial foundations that support confident early decisions.

Outcome

Focused financial insight and clear recommendations that support confident decisions.

HELLO I’M

Bree Taylor

I built Breeze because I watched too many good founders guess.

Not from a lack of ambition. From a financial system that didn't fit their stage, too small for a full-time CFO, too far along to keep running on instinct.

Fifteen-plus years in commercial, financial and operational leadership, high-growth SMEs, franchising networks, businesses making decisions with real money and real consequences attached. I've sat where you're sitting: in the room when the number on the page and the decision in front of you don't quite line up.

I don't do detached advice. I embed,  bringing structure when it's missing, pushing back when it matters, and staying calm when the decision in front of you doesn't feel calm at all.

Outcomes

Founder, Phillips Head Joinery

As we invested in new equipment and growth, cash flow required stronger discipline and visibility. We needed confidence around timing and financial impact.

Breeze Advisory introduced a clear structure to our cash flow and investment planning.

We now make growth decisions with control and certainty, protecting stability while strategically building Phillips Head Joinery.

Founders, MGR&CO

We knew launching our new firm would require strong financial discipline from day one.

Breeze Advisory brought an independent CFO lens that sharpened our strategy, strengthened budgeting and forecasting, and added rigour to our decision-making.

With a clear financial structure in place, we can hire, invest and grow with confidence, and deliver for our clients without second-guessing the numbers.

Director, Structek

Before working with Breeze Advisory, we spent hours each month trying to stay on top of bookkeeping and compliance, yet we still didn’t have clear visibility into profitability or cash flow.

Breeze Books brought structure, accuracy, and discipline to the financial side of the business.

With reliable reporting and proper compliance, we now have clear insight into performance and far greater confidence in managing cash and making decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do I really need a fractional CFO, or is my accountant enough?

Your accountant keeps you compliant and tells you what already happened. A fractional CFO tells you what to do next — forecasting cash, protecting margin, and stress-testing the next big decision before you make it.

What's the difference between bookkeeping and fractional CFO advisory?

Bookkeeping tells you what happened last month. CFO advisory tells you whether you can afford what's next — and builds the plan to get there with confidence.

When is the right time to engage a fractional CFO?

When you can't answer "what's our cash position in six weeks?" with confidence, when pricing feels like a guess, or when a big decision — a hire, a new site, an acquisition — carries more risk than you're comfortable owning alone.

How does fractional CFO support work in practice?

We sit inside your leadership team, not outside reviewing your numbers once a month. That means real-time visibility on cash, a second set of eyes before big calls, and a cadence that flexes as your business does.

Will a fractional CFO work with my existing accountant or bookkeeper?

Yes,  and it works better that way. They keep you compliant; we keep you ahead of the decision,  whether that's tightening cash flow or scoping the next acquisition,  so you get one number you can trust, not two conflicting reports.

What outcomes can I expect from fractional CFO advisory?

You'll know your cash position before it's a problem, set prices with real margin instead of guesswork, and walk into your next big decision- a hire, a new site, funding,  with numbers you actually trust.

How much does a fractional CFO cost?
Typically $3,000–$20,000 a month, depending on how embedded you need us- a few structured touchpoints or weekly involvement in every major call. Either way, it's a fraction of a full-time CFO's $300,000+ salary, for the visibility that actually changes decisions.
My business isn't in trouble. Do I still need a fractional CFO?
Most fractional CFO clients aren't in crisis. They're growing fast enough that gut feel stopped being good enough,  pricing a new product, weighing an acquisition, or hiring ahead of revenue. This isn't rescue. It's the numbers catching up to your ambition.

How We Work Differently

We aren’t a "CFO on Call" or "Virtual CFO"  service offering external advice.
